Things just got really bad for this UFL team. By Tyler Duke

We are only three weeks in, and one UFL team's season is over.

We are talking about the Arlington Renegades, who have now fallen to 0-3 to start the season. This may come as a surprise, as they have maybe one of the best football coaches of all time in Bob Stoops, who coached at Oklahoma for over 15 years before retiring. To make things even crazier, the Renegades defense is awful, which has always been Stoop’s specialty; his teams have always had a good defense.

So why is this team so bad?

Well, the Renegades have faced some tough opponents, and it seems like either the offense doesn’t produce points in crucial moments or the defense is giving up points in bunches, which makes it tough to stay in games. The interesting thing about the Renegades is that they actually have a lot of talent. Luis Perez is statistically the best quarterback in the UFL, and their running game hasn’t been bad either. It really does come down to the defense's inability to get a stop when they need to. Currently, the Renegades are the sixth-ranked defense in the UFL, which is mind-blowing.

So what's next for the Renegades?

I think that this season is over for the Renegades, and while the XFL division isn’t great, it's going to be really hard for them to climb back into the playoff race. I wouldn’t be surprised to see their defensive coordinator Jay Hayes get fired or even Bob Stoops part ways at the end of the season if they can’t add talent to the defense.

The only hope for the Renegades is that they have a really weak matchup this week as they play the Roughnecks in Houston, who may be just as dysfunctional as the Renegades, not to mention that their weakness is on offense, which fairs really well for the Renegades.
